Дурлан хүлэгдэх сэтгэлийг даван туулахын тулд ямар учраас бид тухайн зүйлийн үзэшгүй муухай талыг бясалгах хэрэгтэй болдог вэ? гэхээр. Тухайн зүйлийг маш сайхан гэж бодсон учраас бид тэдгээр зүйлүүдэд шунадаг. Тэдгээрийг тийм үзэмжтэй биш гэж бодох нь үүнийг яг эсрэг болно. Жишээ нь : Бид хэн нэг хүний гадаад үзэмжийг сайхан гэж харснаар түүний биед шунаж байна. Энэхүү шунах сэтгэлийг шинжлээд үзвэл энэ нь ердөө арьсыг харсны үндсэн дээр суурилсан болохыг бид олж мэднэ. Гэвч бидэнд сайхан харагдаж байгаа тухайн биеийн бодит мөн чанар нь мах, яс, арьс зэрэг зүйлийн нийлбэр төдийхөн юм. Одоо бүгдээрээ жишээ болгон хүний арьсыг шинжилж үзье. Хэрэв түүнээс нэг хэсгийг авч хэдэн өдрийн турш тавиур дээр хэсэг хугацаанд байлгавал үнэхээр үзэмжгүй муухай болно. Энэ бол арьсны мөн чанар. Түүнчлэн биеийн бүхий л хэсэг үүнтэй адил. Хүний биеийн аль ч хэсэгт ямар нэг өөрийн мөн чанараас бүтсэн үзэсгэлэнт зүйл нэгээхэн ч байхгүй. Бид цус харахаараа татагдах бус бүр айдаг. Ямар ч сайхан зүс царай байлаа гээд шалбарч зурагдвал сайхнаараа харагдахгүй. Үзэмжгүй муухай байдал нь үнэн хэрэгтээ бие махбодын үнэн мөн чанар. Хүний яс, арга яс бас л үзэмжгүй. Гавал болон хэлхээтэй чөмгөний яс зэрэг нь таагүй мэдрэмж төрүүлдэг. Тийм биш гэж үү? Ингэж бодох нь шунан хүлэгдэх сэтгэл буюу дурлал гэдэг зүйлээр хүлэгдэх үед шинжлэн судлах арга юм. Хайр дурлал гэдгийг энэ үед шунан хүлэгдэх сэтгэлтэй холбож ойлгох хэрэгтэй. Тухайн зүйлийн үзэмжгүй талуудыг илүү их бодох хэрэгтэй. Цаашлаад тухайн эд зүйл, бодгалийн мөн чанарыг шинжилж үзэх хэрэгтэй. Хэдийгээр энэ нь бидний шунан хүлэгдэх сэтгэлийг бүрэн арилгаж чадахгүй ч түүнийг бага боловч бууруулна. Энэ нь юмсын үзэмжгүй талыг бясалгаж дадуулах зорилт юм. Шунах сэтгэлтэй холбогдсон хайр нь тухайн цаад зүйлийн хэв шинж, хандлага зэрэг нь бага зэрэг өөрчлөгдмөгц л шууд сэтгэлд өөрчлөлт орно. Энэ нь бидний сэтгэл, мэдрэмж маш өнгөц гадаад зүйл дээр суурилсан байдагтай холбоотой. Гэрлэлтийг жишээ болгон авч үзье.
